15 yr old mother drops baby out of taxi

June 19th, 2008 | by User Imagemarlowjust with 1 Comment

This story really stuck in my crawl. A 15 year old mother tried to kill her infant while allegedly throwing the baby out of a moving taxi cab. A nearby store owner witnessed the whole thing. The baby was wrapped with a towel and covered in blood. Luckily the baby survived. What a horrible mother. Who would let a 15 year old take care of a baby when she herself is still a kid. I’m sure there were signs that she wasn’t fit to be a mother. Someone who tries to kill their child should be showing some signs of distress or unhappiness. Let’s just say, she ruined the rest of her life but luckily this story had a happy ending and the baby survived. The 15 year old could be charged with infanticide. (Never heard of that charge until now)

What happened to good parenting?

June 12th, 2008 | by User Imagemarlowjust with No Comments »

In an article by Times Online in Britain, parenting has become the main focus on creating a disastrous life plan for children growing up.

“So what went wrong - why did you drop out of school?” I asked. “My parents were just liberal about schools,” he said. “They never made me go.”

This has been a trend unfortunately on the rise. Parents just aren’t there to provide support and a proper environment. That in effect has changed the morals of families and they no longer value working hard or self praise. Its a non stop circular cycle. Children often learn best from their parents. When they grow up they essentially do not know how to be just that, parents.

Mother pleads guilty-Killing 2yr old daughter

June 1st, 2008 | by User Imagemarlowjust with 1 Comment

She had it coming. Shandrell Banks received a life sentence in the state of Georgia for ruthlessly killing her 2 year old daughter, Nateyonna Banks. In 2006, Nateyonna passed away from blunt force trauma to her head. All of this came amidst controversy within the Division of Family and Children’s Services. The department decided to let the child stay with her mother despite her mother’s extensive drug history and emotional problems.

States are constantly bickering over the issue of what are the “legal and appropriate” conditions to remove a child from his or her parents. As with the recent child seizures in Texas, sometimes those boundaries are given a double take.
